So it’s no surprise that cotton fibers and fabrics were the first thing we looked at when we began designing sheets for Elegant Strand. We realized that not all cotton fabrics are created equal—some were softer while others were scratchy. I’ve had a similar experience with shirts, where the cotton was so scratchy that I couldn't wear the shirt more than once.
It raises the question of why some cotton fabrics feel softer and hold up better over time than others? It begins with where the cotton is grown. Most of the soft cotton with longer fibers comes from Egypt, while shorter-staple cotton is grown in the United States. Egyptian cotton has a deserved reputation for exceptional handfeel as well as durability. Fiber length is an important factor in a fabric’s longevity because it’s less susceptible to pilling or fuzzing after a few wash cycles.
The best cotton—whether it’s for shirts or sheets—is soft and smooth to the touch. That’s why we’re very selective when it comes to the cotton we use in our Elegant Strand products. Our 100% cotton sheets range in thread count from 350 to 1,000. They’re soft from the moment you take them out of the package and only get better over time.
I encourage you to experience the superior performance and feel of the best 100% cotton sheets on the market. Our bed linens are amazing to the touch (and they’re similarly priced to the competition’s 275 thread count sheets, so you get more for your money). Enjoy the luxury of the finest cotton with Elegant Strand.
