I’m constantly inspired by the world around me! Art, antiques, museums, nature and of course my clients.
I guess the perfect balance between form and function.
Scale and proportion are always my prime element. Good architecture are the bones of every home and provide the blank canvas to begin a project. Next is color and I consider white a color! We must always remember that white light is a combination of all colors in the color spectrum. Lastly, I always enjoy a contrast in forms or elements to keep things from being too static. And, no matter what style my client is wanting to achieve, I always make sure their home is timeless.
Firstly, is the comfort and elegance of one’s bedding, Of course every room must have balanced lighting, especially a bedroom that needs both reading lights and functional lighting. My third most important element is a comfortable seating area when space allows, or a bench at the end of a bed or an accent chair.
My night table is a bit cluttered with Design Magazines, my book of the month, ”Women Know Everything,” by Karen Weeks and chocolates!! Seriously, I love chocolate and have one every day!! Oh, and fresh flowers a personal treat to myself!
